After the collapse of communism, Alek (Maciej Stuhr) migrates from Wrocław to the US, leaving his son Tomek (Teodor Koziar) to live alone with mother Helena (Weronika Książkiewicz). One day, Alek unexpectedly returns home with gifts for his family. Yet alongside the colour television set and Lego blocks, the father is bringing something much darker into the household… Back to Those Days is in many ways a love letter to the 1990s, unafraid to present both the pleasures and difficulties of the era. The film took part in the main competition at the Gdynia Polish Film Festival.
